老特拉福德球场

老特拉福德球场(Old Trafford)简介

当Manchester United还是Newton Heath时, 他的主场是在Manchester市中心东北边的North Road.

1893年, 球队搬至Clayton的Bank Street. 在1902年, 在观众人数不断减少, 收入赤字有增无减的情况下, 面临解散的命运. 就在球队瓦解之际, 一位Manchester商人John Henry Davies整救了球队的危机. 他并将球队重新命名为Manchester United. 1909年, 在Manchester United赢得FA Cup之后, 眼光长远的Davies花了六万英镑买下一个靠近Old Trafford板球场的一块场地. 在一位苏格兰建筑师Archibald Leitch的指导下建成. TottenhamHotspur的主球场White Hart Lane亦是他的杰作. 至此, Old Trafford便名声响亮.

Old Trafford的正式启用日是在1910年2月19日, 当天有5万名的观众涌入球场观看Manchester United与Liverpool的比赛. Liverpool最终以4-3赢得比赛.

1939年, 3月25日, 79,962的观众涌入Old Trafford观看FA Cup的准决赛, 当时的比赛队伍为Wolves及Grimsby. 这是Old Trafford有史以来最多观众的记录. 在两次的世界大战期间, Old Trafford有了些许的改变. 在第二次大战期间, 更为Old Trafford带来诸多的问题. 由于Old Trafford靠近Trafford Park Industrial Estate (德军的主要轰炸目标), 使得Old Trafford也遭受池鱼之殃. 在1941年, 3月11日的晚上, Old Trafford遭受两枚炸弹的直接轰炸.

遭受轰炸的Old Trafford因为无法使用, 球队因而租借Manchester City的Maine Road的球场. 1945年, 战后的Old Trafford得到War Damage Commission给予22,274英镑的清理及修复费用. 经过重建后, Manchester United在1949年, 8月24日首度回到球场迎战来访的Bolton Wanderers. 1954年3月23日, Old Trafford才完全整建完工, 全面启用.

1957年, Old Trafford第一次开启球场的泛光照明灯(floodlight). 1973-1974球季, Old Trafford成为英格兰第一个加设围栏的球场, 以防止球迷冲入球场内.

在1999-2000球季, Old Trafford持续改变它的面貌, 目前观众席已从原先的55,000席位增加至67,400. 球场亦在增建中, 可望在2001-2002球季前完工.

Manchester United的传奇球星Bobby Charlton曾称呼Old Trafford为"Theatre of Dream".

Sir Matt statue & clock

Manchester United史上伟大的教练Sir Matt Busby铜像于1996年5月揭幕. Sir Matt带领着Manchester United从1958年慕尼黑空难的灰烬中站起来, 重建球队, 并在1968年征服欧洲大陆获得欧洲冠军杯.

Old Trafford一个深俱沉痛记忆的纪念物, 则是外墙上的"Munich Clock"(慕尼黑时钟). 是为了纪念于1958年2月6日于慕尼黑空难中罹难的记者, 球员及球队工作人员们. "Munich clock"近来被移至South Stand.

Museum

Manchester United的新博物馆是在1998年4月由足球传奇明星Pele(比利)揭幕的.

博物位共有三层楼, 位在Old Trafford的North Stand(北看台).进到博物馆第一个看到的就是奖杯陈列室, 博物馆中的名人堂.被置于陈列室中央的就是联赛的冠军杯.

Players' Lounge

Players' lounge是让球员在上场前及赛后和家人们同聚休息的地方.

球员休息室墙上的国家队荣誉榜, 球员休息室又称为Captain Lounge,

Dressing room

Dressing room中备有spa pool, 浴缸, 淋浴以及厕所. 并有一间暖身室。

在dressing room中另架有一台录放机,可以让球队在中场休息时刻作为讨论战术之用.这间dressing room足以容纳22名球员.

负责球员球衣及装备的人称为kit man, 他的工作可不简单喔.他要很清楚哪位球员喜欢穿短袖, 哪一位要穿长袖,包括谁在中场休息时要换新球衣, 都要了若指掌.

Press Box

Press Box大约可容纳60人,通常在赛后, United会在此开赛后记者会.新球员的签约仪式也是在此召开的.赛后, Ferguson都会在两名球员的陪同下,在此接受媒体的访问.

North Stand

Old Trafford中最值得一提的就是北看台了(North Stand).1995年3月17号,United的主席Martin Edwards宣布了这项United史上最庞大的扩建计划.耗资一千九百亿英镑的North Stand共有三层, 可容纳25,110人.它拥有欧洲最大的cantilever roof.
